One of the most important membership benefits of this society is the grassroots advocacy that has a direct effect on the rules, regulations, and laws that define how you can practice dentistry.  The way in which we are allowed to practice is defined either by state law (created by the elected legislature) or by an interpretation of those laws by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.  Membership is your unified voice in determining what these rules are.

Every year, representatives of the local societies gather together to decide the legislative agenda of the Texas Dental Association.  The TDA Legislative team then works tirelessly to promote these ideals to our state legislature.  As a member of one of the largest organized healthcare groups in the state, your membership dues have direct influence on the lawmakers and the bills they pass.
