Course Overview

When planning any level of sedation, determining that the patient is an appropriate candidate is critical.  This presentation will look at patient evaluation from the vantage point of who should not be sedated in an outpatient setting.  In addition, we will discuss factors that may make the doctor an unsafe provider of the sedation.

Key Topics & Learning Objectives:

This course will review a number of factors that should cause the sedation provider to pause and consider if sedation is really indicated in this particular patient.

2. The participant will learn cardiac factors that may rule out sedation

3. The participant will learn craniofacial factors that may rule out sedation
