Plans have been underway for some time to form a dental study club here in Austin for female general dentists and specialists.  Similar study groups have been very successful in other cities, and the concept has generated overwhelming interest here in Austin.  The general format of the group includes one meeting per month where members of the group take turns hosting a meeting at their home or office.  Dinner and beverages are served and the group does have its charter from the Academy of General Dentistry so each meeting counts for continuing education credit. Annual dues are assessed to each member to offset the costs for the meetings. It is anticipated that the first regular meeting will take place in January 2007.  On December 14, 2006, we will be hosting a holiday planning meeting and social to finalize the format of the Women of Austin Dental Study Club, and all female dentists and specialists are invited to attend (doctors only, please).  For more information and details, please contact:
