I hope you are all enjoying your summer.  July is one of those unique months in that there is no board or general meeting for CADS, but don’t let that fool you.  I assure you that there are several members who are continuing to work hard in the continuation of making your profession one to be proud of. 

As we prepare for the following year, I encourage you to think about the practice of dentistry.  Is there something you would like to be different?  Don’t be afraid to "air your dirty laundry”.  As I learned personally at this last TDA Meeting, if you want change, voice it, even if you know there are those who oppose what you have to say.  You may be surprised at how many others are thinking the same thing, but are afraid to come forward.  Admittedly, sometimes you have to "put it delicately”, as I was told to do, but at least I got the point across.  Don’t just sit back and see if someone else will take care of it.  Remember, the best way for things to change is to become involved yourself.

If you don’t want to (or don’t have the time to) become involved, please contact me, your CADS board, the TDA board, and even the ADA board.  Nothing will get better without the support and encouragement from you, the members. 

Again, enjoy your summer and we will see you in August.
