Capital Area Dental Foundation News

The Capital Area Dental Foundation is in the process of conducting an area-wide survey concerning entities that provide dental care to the economically disadvantaged, what type of services are provided, and who qualifies for the services at each facility.  This is information critical to the direction that CADF will take as it moves ahead in the access- to-care arena.

 

While it is obvious that there is great unmet dental need in our area, this information will allow for decision-making that will maximize the effectiveness of the efforts of the Foundation.

 

The Foundation brochure is being finalized at this time. This will be used to get the message out to the profession and to the public.

 

Many of you were invited to participate in a Foundation sponsored Success Training pilot program that began in September and will continue with the last of four sessions ending on January 16, 2009. Mr. Matthew Dunn of San Antonio is leading the program that has been phenomenal.  The directors of the Capital Area Dental Foundation felt such a program should be available to area dentists to provide and develop more tools for professionalism and leadership through better communication skills. As of yet, there have been no arrangements made for the next Success Training but it is the intent of the Foundation to continue. If you are interested, please let us know!
