CADF Update

The Capital Area Dental Foundation continues to meet regularly and several committees are active in working toward the accomplishment of the goals of the foundation. One committee is interviewing area organizations that provide dental care to those that do not seek care from fee-for-service dental offices. The goal is to identify specific areas of unmet need and to use demographic data to focus on that population where the biggest impact can be achieved.
Others are researching grant sources and possibilities for future grants to further the goals. Reviewing foundations that focus on dental health care is a primary objective. A logo and letterhead has been developed and contacts in the print and electronic media are being nurtured.
A Leadership & Success pilot program led by Mr. Matthew Dunn began on October 3rd and continues into 2009 is sponsored by CADF. The participants are very excited about the four-part curriculum and it is the intent of the foundation to present an enhanced program of this type in the future. The goal of the program is to make dental professionals better equipped leaders in the community.
