continued from page 1Stephen F. Schwartz, D.D.S., M.S.Dr. Stephen F. Schwartz received his Dental Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Endodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston. Dr. Schwartz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a Fellow of the American and International Colleges of Dentists. Dr. Schwartz has served as President of the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists and the International Federation of Endodontic Associations. He recently completed a two-year term as Vice President of the American Dental Association. Dr. Schwartz was selected as the 1994 Texas Dentist of the Year and was recently awarded the Edgar D. Coolidge Award, the highest award bestowed by the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Schwartz was honored by the University of Texas Dental Branch as the 2007 Alumnus of the Year.Dr. Schwartz is a Clinical Professor of Endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas where he serves as Special Advisor to the Dean and Chair of the Open to Health Initiative. In addition, Dr. Schwartz is an active participant and co-investigator with Dr. Charles Streckfus regarding the identification of specific proteins in human saliva associated with various types of cancer. |
